In a standard single-elimination tournament, one bad match ends your day. In a traditional round robin league, mismatches get worse as the season progresses — the best teams keep winning and the rest keep losing against opponents who outclass them.
Colornet fixes both. Everyone plays every round. Your Win/Loss record determines your color level — and your next opponent. Whether it's a one-day event or a 6-week league season, every match is competitive and fair.
Every win or loss moves you to a new color level — so you always play opponents at your same level. The bracket self-sorts automatically.
Each round the bracket self-sorts — winners and losers always face opponents at the same level
The Colornet color level system is fractal — it scales perfectly from small groups to large events, and from one-day tournaments to full league seasons. The same W/L routing logic that produces 4 tiers in a 16-player session expands naturally to 8 tiers at 32 and 16 tiers at 64. Every player or team finds their competitive level regardless of draw size or format.
Each bracket entry is a single player or a doubles team — the bracket structure is identical either way. Double the entries and the number of color levels doubles with it. An 8-entry bracket produces 4 color levels, a 16-entry bracket produces 8, and a 32-entry bracket produces 16. The format works equally well for singles, fixed partner doubles, or rotating partner doubles where teammates change each round.
The Colornet app runs any phone, tablet, or desktop — no download required. Perfect for one-day tournaments or recurring weekly leagues. Install it to your home screen for a native app experience.
Every player competes every round — whether it's a tournament or a weekly league night. The W/L sequence determines your color level and your next opponent. Here are the final standings from a real 16-player Colornet session.

"Salt Creek Club has used the COLORNET system to run our men's and women's 'Bring a Ringer' tournament for many years. The members and guests really enjoy the format. It allows players to continue to play, and the matches keep getting better as players seek their own level of competition."
"After having played highly competitive tennis for most of my life, it's fun to come back to Salt Creek Club to play in the COLORNET tournament. The level of competition is just as good, and I don't have to worry about being eliminated from the whole tournament by a loss or two."
"From the organizational standpoint COLORNET makes my job a lot easier… I can spend more time helping the players instead of making draw sheets and setting up consolation matches."
"We've used the COLORNET for all types of sports, and at all levels of play. The response has been terrific… It has worked out very well in situations where we've got players that range in ability from beginners to experts playing in the same class."
